About Sky

Skylar Vorhees is an interior designer based in Los Angeles, California. She holds a BFA in Interior Design from California State University, Long Beach, where she strengthened her skills in concept development, technical drawing, digital modeling, and visual communication across both hand-rendered and digital workflows.

Her background is shaped by a wide range of experiences. Before pursuing her BFA, she attended Santa Monica College, earning AA degrees in Art History & Arts & Humanities while competing on the women’s soccer team. Soccer has always been a constant throughout her life — from growing up in club programs, to serving as team captain in high school, coaching freshman and JV high school women’s teams, to continuing at the collegiate level.

Skylar is also a lifelong artist and musician. Drawing and painting have played a major role in developing her hand-rendering skills, attention to detail, and understanding of composition and materiality. She also plays guitar and piano — creative outlets outside of design that keep her creative and connected. Her love for art and music continues to influence her perspective on design.

She has contributed to residential and commercial interiors, internship work, and branded environments — always with a focus on designing spaces that support the people who use them. Clients and collaborators appreciate her thoughtful communication, strong follow-through, and the care she takes to understand project goals from concept through delivery.

She believes successful design supports how people actually live — making spaces feel intuitive, functional, and genuinely comfortable to be in.
